I've never felt that this was right, and I'm sure those of you who have to pay the extra costs sure don't feel that it's right. In fact, I know you don't, because I've heard from you!
To be honest, I didn't even know that larger people had to pay more until I started dating a larger gentlemen a few years ago and went clothes shopping for him. Excited to find the shirt that I wanted to buy him on sale, I was less excited when I found out that it would be $5.00 more just because of his size, a 2X. As the sales lady was explaining this difference in price to me, because of by complaining, I was only half-listening to her and began slinging my way through rack after rack like madwoman, only to discover that all the plus-sizes were priced about $2.00 to $5.00 more for each article of clothing!
Needless to say, I was in shock! I thought -"How dare they!" However, now after owning my own retail stores, I now understand -- how dare they! You see, suppliers charge us more for the plus-size garments than they do for the regular size. So, unfortunately the costs get passed on to you, the plus-size consumer.
However, I don't like this (and neither do many of my customers and plus-sized friends) and even though it'll cost us a little more, Fantasy Angel will not be charging more for plus sizes. We're updating the website and changing our prices to reflect our new policy. We're trying hard to accomplish this, but we've still got a ways to go. I promise we'll get there, give us another week or so. There's 8,000 products to go through, so it's an enormous task, plus I have three jobs and kids who need me. I'm trying.
Just wanted to let our customers know that we've heard you and we agree...
...So starting now, everyone will be paying the same price for the same item regardless of size!!!
